The
pace of life has quickened so much over the past 25 years that we have developed new methods to replace our memory. We’ve gone from remembering telephone numbers to speed dialers and name recognition dialing. We’ve gone from remembering appointments to day planners and palm pilots. These new gadgets help keep us organized but they also work against our memory. They have made us lazy and actually decreased our memory and retention abilities. I was a victim of this several years ago. One
day, I spent a great deal of time programming all of my phones with the names and numbers of the people I call most. I saved time each time I needed to call someone.
Then one day, my cell phone battery went dead. When I tried to make a
call using a pay phone, I could not remember my calling card number or the actual phone number of the person I needed to call. I needed to race back to my car to get my day planner.
After that, I stopped relying so much on these new devices and started exercising my brain power of memory and retention.
This seminar incorporates proven
